THE COMPANY
Anchor Support Services Ltd has worked in Medway and Kent delivering care, support and housing to adults with learning disabilities since 1989.
In line with Anchors philosophies and Aging strategy, as well as the demand for us to offer this service not only to our existing Service Users but to the community as a whole, Anchor is delighted to announce that in 2012 we will be delivering Services to ALL older people in their own homes across Medway and Kent.

OUR TEAM
Anchor is a family run local team, consisting of a number of highly qualified and experienced staff within both the Support and Management Team. All staff are CRB and POVA checked. Our staff team have received training within all the main areas of Care and Health and Safety as well as specialist training within Dementia Care and End of Life Care and Support.
Anchor has over 23 years' experience in Caring for Vulnerable Adults and we are highly motivated to deliver excellent services to all that need our help. We have a passion for delivering the Services that individuals need and want.
THE SERVICE
Anchor provides individualised Care and Support to older people assisting them to live as independently as possible in their own homes, as well as promoting continued participation and inclusion within their local community by delivering the following support in ways that respects individuals rights, choice and control over their life and life choices:
- Assistance with personal care washing and dressing bathing, continence, as well as assistance with getting up and ready to start the day and getting ready for the end of the day
- Assisting with medication (collecting, ordering, administering)
- Assisting with medical appointments
- Building confidence with life skills after illness or injury
- Supporting individuals through such illnesses as Dementia
- Supporting individuals through End of Life Care
- Respite for family carers (from a few hours at a time to overnight support)
- Meal preparation
- Shopping
- Housework, laundry and ironing
- Paperwork and payment of bills
- Befriending and companionship
- Social activities in and away from home
- Handyman maintenance and gardening
